Buying into the Dinar hoopla is much like being on drugs (I guess....I really wouldn't know).. Everyday we wait to see what the "Gurus" have to say and then we sigh with refief knowing that it will not happen today, but most likely tomorrow. And then one night a person that you put much faith in "calls" the RV and you mentally start figuring out what do with all of your new found money. Well, turns out everytime that there was a slight glitch in the system and that it will RV once again on the Tomorrow Train. I really don't see what all of these Gurus get out of doing this unless it is money. But, we continue to drink the Kool Aid and buy the options with our grocery money and daydream about tomorrow. Well, it is time to wake up and become aware of what Obama is doing to this great Nation and stop living in the pipe dream of Dinarism. Am I bitter...no, I am stupid....because I drank the Kook Aid for years and then it dawned on me....the only difference between intel and rumor is the spelling. Break the habit. I did and so can you. One last thought....did you ever wonder why the mods would get mad and shut you down if you ever question the dinar or the Guru? Chrissy, sure seems like you're convinced the Dinar is a scam.... and honestly, very few of us can be 100% certain if it is or not. However, I'm just wondering.... how do you reconcile the existence of the Forex, an entire global currency reporting system which is used daily by investors and has created countless millionaires? Speculation on currencies using the Forex is equal to, as common as, and legitimate as speculation on stocks using the Nasdaq.

As far as your saying "investing in things that might not happen", well, it is the VERY NATURE of investing that you might lose. Even If you go to a "safe" and "recognized" investment company like Fidelity and invest in a 401K, somewhere in the fine print they tell you that you very well could lose every dime. Indeed, many people have. It's funny how I don't see anyone screaming at them.

Most people who have bought Dinar have only bought couple hundred dollars worth. Not a big deal. Many investments require a minimum investment of thousands of dollars. Lastly, I have NEVER heard of an investment where you could always get most of your money back at any time.

BTW, there's nothing wrong with working for a living... all work is honorable. I just don't understand why I see people posting such nasty stuff, when the truth is that people are free to invest in Dinar as little or as much as they want, where the return on investment is so potentially astronomical, and where they can exit with most of their money at any time.

Unless someone thinks that currency revaluations are some fictional occurence that has never happened before (which would be wrong) I can't imagine someone NOT investing at least $50 just for kicks. I know lots of people who have spent FAR more on lottery tickets (which I don't buy).

I think this is a different type of measurement than the price we could purchase for. Note that it is in SDRs per Currency Unit.

I have heard enough about people who have "inside" info and access to people who :see the screens" and all of that , to last me a lifetime!
I know that the Dinar has in the past, been worth a load more than it is right now, and I also know that there are manipulations being played out that none of us will probably never know. All of this is typical, what is not typical is that so many people have invested their monies into a currency for the chance to receive a repayment which exceeds that initial payment to purchase.
We all want for this to RV and to be over with; spending our money on the beach, or investing it into a business, or what is more likely, a few hundred dollars, if we are lucky, but in relationship to what we paid in the first place: still a big-time jump!
Historically the US dollar was worth a load more than it is today, but still, we ponder ways to get more of them.
I want to know what it is worth, on the day that it finally RVs: everything else, may be entertaining and a break from the monotony of waiting, but sometimes, it is very misleading and downright fraudulent. Some people are banking all that they have because of the "insider info" they believe is being handed out by our "experts". That...as I am told by some of my young students: "just 'aint cool!"

Yes the dinar used to trade well however after the invasion iraq bank became controlled by western interest, they may never allow an rv inorder to keep petro dollar alive a little longer. if you have dinar I hope its not much. What your not hearing if the IMF does do an RV it will be a global RV. countries currency will be matched to countries assets. Most western countries have debt not assets. Iraq even with its oil is deep in debt the bankers made sure of that, watch for a gold backed ruble or yuan ... most probably the yuan china's gold reserves are massive

A quick question please...

Other than on chat room sites, I can find no legit source (Iraqi TV - News broadcast - CBI site - etc.) where the story about the retiring of the 50 Dinar note can be verified. Anyone know where that source might be?

Some people keep calling the dinar investment a scam. I do not understand this. A scam is an act of someone taking your money and stealing it. You never see it again.The dinar investment is not a scam. I can sell my dinars today and get all my money back. They may or may not ever increase in value but there is no scam. I get tired of people saying that. It is a misnomer.
