Special Inspector General for Iraq reconstruction: April 2012 Quarterly Report to Congress

Here's the April report given to the US Congress....it comes via FANTASTIC Dinar Guru member insider IHSSJR. (thank you IHSSJR!!!)

What you'll see on page 94 (on the Online viewer--I think page 84 in pdf) is the plan to drop the zeros and raise the rate of the dinar to $1 in 2013. (I tried to copy and past it here for you but couldn't figure it out. :(

It goes on to say the program was put on hold indefinitely...

The important thing I think is GREAT news is that the program is REAL. This shows its real! We still don't know exactly what Drop the Zeros means...but we know they plan to raise the rate.

New articles are saying the program is back ON as of May 16 2012 the day I originally wrote this...(of course things can change quick)

Can anyone shed any light on the roomer That Iraq banks have released the LDs to the streets? And if so in what denominations? And who would want them, they would be worthless at this point. Im not buying into this story so far.

Well it may not be all that great IF they drop the zeros here as well, that could mean a 1000 dinar note will only be worth a 1 dinar..see the three zeros are gone.

Of the other hand it could mean, drop these three zeros as in it is worth .00085 then it would be near a dollar as in being .85 cents worth...so all 1000 dinars would be worth $850.00, not too bad.

I am hoping the zero drop in only in country as only to Iraq and our
dinars remain at face value, then a 1000 dinar would be worth $1000.00 USD.

The newest information, or speculation on the 3 zero drop makes perfect sense!! From .00086 to .86........ But regardless, I don't understand why people are so freaked out over this..... IF for whatever reason they did decide to remove the zeros and make a 25k dinar note 25 dinars, we will be given ample time to turn in our 25k notes into smaller notes!! They're NOT just going to steal money from us!!

I read the translated version of that report. If you ever have any questions about timing that report should be enough to quiet even the most outrageous prognosticators, who continue the mantra. "It's only hours away" or "this week" Even 2013 isn't the year. If you read the entire report you will see that 2013 is being spent bringing the old currency in. They are really talking first quarter of 2014 for actual implementation. I still believe there will be parity at 1-1 at time of revalue.

Think about it, folks. The only way this can work (the RV) is to drop the zeros, so your 25,000 Iraqi Dinar note is worth about four dollars more than you paid for it. Do you REALLY believe the world economy, and the U.S. economy, is going to be able to handle the 47 TRILLION dollars should an RV occur even close to the rate self-described gurus and insiders say it will? If you read the article it said it would be a year for the old denoms to be brought in. That means that they will both be available and traded for a year at the same rate.

When a country sells it's currency for currency IE...allowing us to purchase their dinar with our American dollars...they can not just decide to change the face value of the currency sold.
All this LOP talk and uninformed fear mongering talk or saying that our dinar will be a break even event is crazy...
They will eventually not have any currency in circulation with three zero's.
This is what is meant by droppong the 000.
IE introducing the small bills and eventualy having only the lower face value bills..$1 $5 $10 $20 $50 $100 $250..in circulation.
Thus eliminating the 1,000, 5,000, 10,000 and 25,000 dinar bills they call this steralizing the currency.
What is, is this, one DINAR will always be worth one DINAR. Example the one to one statement made over and over again.
This is exactly what it means...A dinar is a dinar...
It does not matter if it is worth $.08 or $4.00. a Dinar is worth a Dinar. Period.
Now as far as the information and misinformation coming out of government agenceys, do you think for one minute they will actually tell anyone when the Dinar will revalue?
What it will be worth?
The CBI operates independant from the government/ parliament, congress or any other agency, and will enact the rate change when the conditions are correct for the event.
Stay grounded and clear, if it does not make sense it more than likely is not true.

I agree with you 77. One dinar will be one dinar at the time of RV. My concern is will they actually honor the high denoms we all own? Who says they have to? Maybe once the new denoms are printed and in circulation they just declare the old currency invalid. I don't like to be negative but I have been in this for 8 years and watched the ebb and flow. As one writer mentioned how do they cover those 47 trillion dinar that are out there? I have heard many theories none of which are more than pipe dreams. However, I remain positive. Interesting report and all should realize that this can change in an instant and probably will. However, it is most interesting that this RV plan is public. Of course they have to change always this was the case. And for those thinking USA centric (negative can't happen two much money involved folks) consider this...their citizens woke up to their currency just about worthless. They enjoyed for decades a dinar about worth 3.00 USD. So if they want to restore their middle class and business this has to change. Sovereign major holdings of dinar is well documented. This should not be ignored. If you follow the business activities as I do then you will understand there is a momentum that is increasing each day. This should not be ignored.
They need to restore money to their citizens pure and simple.
The schedule for this is unfortunately muddied by politics which are in quite a state of confusion at present. That is why I said I felt that the timing could indeed change. No not a few days but maybe in 6 months or so. Nobody knows...well maybe one or two but generally nobody. The dinar RV is figured into a much larger picture of a global currency war/reset which outstrips what the Iraqi PM may or may not want. The dinar is a major component here and that should not be ignored. That is if the same PM is still there in 6 months. There is quite a lot more to this story then most of us realize.

This saga is unfolding at its own pace and will not be telegraphed to the world...period. The congressional report is only a suggestion not fact by any means.

The real story is what is happening with foreign business investments into Iraq and that tells far more than our silly gurus with their rumors. Conditions there are getting better and with Kuwait showing real support this alone says volumes. I see the rate at parity then gradually moving to where the Kuwait Dinar is set and that being at 3.00 USD. That rate will take a few years but I don't see the two neighboring currencies existing very far apart. Makes no sense.

I feel deeply discouraged by how our collective moral standard has made us miss use prayer , Hope for our own riches with no consideration to whether or not this will impact the Iraqi people negatively , And throw stones at one another if our un-researched propaganda is contradicted by more of the same .

If it is said that quote , " My source says this or say's that " and they follow it up by saying , " I can't tell you who my source is , or exactly what they said" etc. Then it is of my understanding as a journalist and a civilian to not take that information seriously . At risk of of threatening the hopes of people (not my intention at all), we must be open to ALL possibilities in order to keep some sense of self preservation. That means that just as we must be prepared in the event of an RV (ie: investments, trusts etc.), we must also be prepared in the event the RV never happens! For instance, there are a lot of us who have been "dreaming" since we started buying the dinar. You know, the "how my life is going to be changed' type of changes. At the same time, there is a strong chance that NOTHING will change. Face it, Iraq can do whatever THEY want with THEIR currency. It is THEIRS. NOTt ours. They can even change their currency and void out all existing currency if they want. My case in point: there will always be "reasons" why and why not today. But when each day ends "without" and RV we are really no closer than we were yesterday or a year ago for that matter.

So the question should be: What will I do if there is NO RV? Will I keep wishing and dreaming or will I continue on with my life and realize that it is not going to happen?

When the "ether" wears off, we are all back where we started.

the way to copy those pdf formats that don't let you copy the text is to "save page as" or print into your own pdf writer and in this way you can then copy the text all you want. This is a tool used by the originators of the pdfs to impede copying.... :-)

Haveing spoken to a Chase Financial adviser on 8/12/13 , I was told that there would be no RV because it would cause too much inflation here in the US. That may be true, but, I am also reading that there are going to be groups that as I understand it , will be flying to Iraq to get the benifit of the RV leaving the Mom and Pop soloist in the learch . I am a singular holder as are many others and I can't help but wounder it we are helpless. ?????

My Brother inlaw ,called Chase Bank,and he was told....that when they RV,thay you could come in,open an account with them.Then you could cash in your dinar,but you have to put them in your account.

Last week I call three of the largest banks in our area, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and First Citizens Bank to ask about cashing dinar when the RV happened. The BoA and Wells Fargo referred me to their Foreign Exchange Divisions and they told me they were not taking dinar and didn't plan to in the near future. First Citizens local manager told me "we quit dealing with dinar. It's noting more than paper with pretty color painting on it. Something definitely doesn't match up with the "Guru's" reporting....

Wellsfargo is going to be one of the biggest players in the claw back deal. Why because they can afford to sit on it till it's worth what the Kuwaiti dinar is worth now thinks it's at $4.00 now. Where is my source on that! A contact who's worked there for over ten years, Lots of other banks will be doing just the same.
Why is information so hard to come by because those in the know don't want you to know all the facts. Why is that! A decision was made recently in Iraq not to drop the three zeros. You can find it on the web site for the National Bank of Iraq. The decision also included not to issue new currency to replace the old. I believe the reason was to avoid counterfeit problems.

think about this also if the dinar rv what does that do to the price of oil right now it's about $80 a barrel and gas is about$3.75 so if the largest deposit of oil is under Iraq and their money is worthless then the rv at 1:1 will make oil prices go to about $800 a barrel not real sure I want the rv to happen

Of course not. Most all of our politicians and government officials are bought or threatened by whom I refer to as the globalords. They're the wealthy elitists who are fulfilling a 100 year plan that they initiated in 1914 to establish the new world order. In other words, we don't have anybody watching our backs. They'll all be in the one percentile of the elite while the other 99% will be serfs and slaves or be exterminated.
