Barzani spills the beans on what is REALLY going on in Iraq...scary stuff indeed.

This is one of the HONEST interviews I've seen yet out of Iraq. The president lays it on the line and tells it like it is...

Barzani starts the interview by reporting the improvements of the Kurdistan region...Illiteracy is down to 16%...annual income up from $200/year to $5000/year and electricty in most areas and some have it 24/hours a day.

11:00 Maliki power grab...he's the Prime Minister, Commander and chief of all armed forces, Minister of Defense and now wants the CBI too
19:00 Obama's and Biden's response to Kurdistan...Barzani felt encouraged by their stance
27:00 6 years of promises and no results...fed up.
28:00 HCL discussed and how important it is.
40:00 Erbil Agreement and how important it is...if not implemented will go back to the people for a vote.
50:00 Barzani wants to AVOID WAR at all cost BUT if Erbil is not met and Kurdistan land is not returned...war will happen.
107:00 Barzani has a timeline for action but is not ready to reveal it at this time...his people are fed up.

I am not sure what to make of the political video posted. many intel providers have said on their calls and soforth to ignore the politics going on right now, that the Rv is in process or happening this week. I choose to believe that.

Very good info! Bottom line is that Maliki sees himself as a would-be "Sadam Hussein" with all the power and everything else subordinate to him. He is renigging on the ERBIL agreement and the Iraqi constitution. No wonder the RV is being held up

Thank you Blanche, very important info. Democracy is a great motivator. The desire to take action themselves to make sure democracy is not jeopardized is foremost. Maliki is the biggest obstacle to their democracy and it looks like they are now taking steps to prevent his actions. No RV until the power is shared.At the NC they gave Maliki a vote of no confidence. Bye Bye Maliki, Hello democratic gov (balance of powers) and Hello RV.
