Here's my Dirty Little Secrets...
My inbox is full of emails from the community wanting to know my dinar story....so for better or worse, here you go...
“Are we rich yet?”
That’s how me and my friend Jackie answer the phone with each other these days…
An inside joke we get a kick out of...kinda nerdy, I know.
Now that you’ve seen the website, seen some Dinar Guru predictions, and got on the email list, I want to answer the #1 question the community has been asking me.
It’s kind of a strange question really…
Why you want to know this I’ll never know.
I'm just a regular person like you, really.
But I understand too.
The number one question I get by far is essentially this...
Who are you and how did you come up with DinarGuru.com?
Now that I think about it...it's kind of a dramatic story.
Unbelievable really.
Dinar Guru is a story about me and my husband…and my son. And the big bad wolf named—Katrina.
In 2005 the eye of Hurricane Katrina bullied her way directly over my house.
Trust me Katrina was NO lady...
She flooded the house.
Destroyed my husband's 23 year old business.
Poof. They were gone.
Homeless with no income…just like that.
Actually, No House, no income, NO MONEY, no community, no anything but the few belongings we pilled into the car.
The devastation was immense…shockingly bad.
The good news…we all survived.
The bad news…
Whole neighborhoods were obliterated, our church reduced to rubble.
My kids and their families made it back to their homes and they all rallied to help put my house back together again…
3 months later the house was “live-in-able”
We lost a lot, but not as much as some people.
We at least have a roof over our heads.
But the bills were piling up fast.
We struggled while raising the kids, but never was it so bad that we couldn’t buy basic food...and didn't see at least some money coming in.
Until now.
So we come to late 2009 early 2010….five and a half years after the storm.
I’m still walking on concrete floors…still sitting in lawn furniture (and still am today).
I cringe when the phone rings and avoided answering it because I know WHO it is and I don’t have what they want. (I feel so terrible about this)
I’m scared we’re going to loose the house. (a broken house at that)
I can’t sleep, my blood pressure is through the roof…I’m constantly worried.
Frankly, I was totally depressed…living in a bombed out house, in a bombed out neighborhood, no money, bill collectors hounding us...yuck!
It was too much. (and still is)
So one day my husband tells me about this exotic currency I’d never heard of before called the Iraqi Dinar.
He excitedly tells me that it’s about to go up in value, that the country is really rich, but acting poor because of the war.
He says you can by it for next to nothing...its a secret us "poor people" aren't supposed to know about.
He wants to invest…it’s a good chance at fortune!
I take one look at him and respond the same way you probably did …
That sounds like total B.S….baloney .
No way that little bit of money can turn into ALL THAT MONEY.
No Way!
Well, time goes by and we discover Dinar Vets and Dinar Daddy.
At some point it all sounded possible. This thing could be real. I didn’t totally believe, but I believed enough to MAYBE invest a little money...one day.
We saw on the sites that everyone believed it was about to RV THAT WEEKEND. Progress had been made in Iraq…The Plan was coming together.
The elections were a success and the government was formed. (or so we thought)
“We better get into this thing before we miss it!!”
We scratched up a little money and purchased some Dinar and waited for the RV.
Finally, we will be able to catch up on the bills.
We waited and waited and waited…nothing happened.
RV days came and went, came and went, came and went.
This was about a year and a half ago.
Time went by.
We told the kids about the investment and all but one invested (you know what she got as a stocking stuffer this year!).
I followed all the new sites that were popping up ….and all the new gurus (and some disappearing).
There was so much information coming in that I started a new system to keep track of it all…I became so knowledgeable in the Dinar my kids would call ME asking ME what was going on with the investment.
They didn't have time to follow closely, but were excited to hear the information. (actually they loved the Guru drama the most)
Even my friends were looking to me….How STRANGE is that?
They loved the updates and I LOVED sharing!!
Then one day after the new year 2011…you know after the 1st of January when it was absolutely positively HAD to RV for so many logical reasons, my son came to me about an idea he had.
He said, “why don’t you start your own site with your guru system? People really need it…they waste so much time and still don’t know what’s going on. They can’t keep up like you do. You could provide a fantastic service.”
I flat out refused.
I haven’t worked in years, I don’t know anything about websites and computers, besides, family and friends is one thing, total strangers wanting to hear from me??
Yeah right!
He persisted…I continued to refuse.
I think he secretly wanted to create a way for me to make a little money so I could pay some bills and get me moving again. (he’d never admit that though)
He then sends me a private link to a site he put together for me.
I couldn’t believe he could do that…I didn’t know he knew web stuff.
It looked great too…but I felt terrible.
I was too depressed and freighted to even try to make it work.
He FINALLY said he’d drop it.
I thought I was in the clear until…
A week or two later, he calls to tell me somehow people found the site and were signing up! He asked if I’d just send out an update or something and let people know this wasn’t a REAL site.
I reluctantly did.
But more and more people signed up...he forgot to take down the site!
And you know what I actually began to enjoy sharing with the community…I felt excited again. I kinda felt alive for the first time in a long while.
I was helping people again.
My son said not to worry about the technical web stuff…that he’d do that part…if I took care of the guru update part of it.
We decided to keep it going.
The rest is history.
The site has really taken off.
Thousands of dinarians visit the site every day…we have hundreds of members, with dozens and dozens signing up everyday.
We even have customers who love my system enough to pay me.
Wow!
I am soooooo grateful !!! words can't express it enough.
We were even mentioned on a PeoplesTalkRadio Conference Call by Checkmate. (although he wasn't totally nice :)
So that’s how it all started…as you've read the site is NOT all me…it wouldn’t be possible without my son’s web savvy and the community.
Members send in guru intel they find.
It has really become a fantastic community.
